Ali Zafar: To Kiss Or Not To Kiss Katrina is The Question To Be Asked

Pakistani singer-actor Ali Zafar , who has just delivered his second consecutive hit, Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, after Tere Bin Laden (2010), is troubled by the to-kiss-or-not-to-kiss dilemma in films. Zafar, 31, is now set to star in romantic comedy, London Paris New York, and is said to have several kissing scenes with co-star Aditi Rao Hydari (above left).The actor earlier was quoted as saying:
“My wife has no issues with it (kissing).” However, soon after Zafar’s publicist in Pakistan Ammara Hikmat clarified to The Express Tribune, “By intimate, Ali didn’t mean obscene scenes... By intimate, he means a cozy and romantic film.”

Hikmat claimed Zafar was joking at the press conference in India when he said, “Well, I do make sure to brush my teeth as soon as I wake up because I’d be doing very intimate scenes.”However Hikmat clarified, “He (Zafar) believes that everyone has the right to express their own freedom of speech and action in reasonably defined parameters. He tries his best to keep general values of his home country in mind and work in a way where he can fulfil his professional obligations and not disappoint his fans at the same time. We have witnessed his choices to do this and make us proud.”Earlier, Pakistani actor Meera was threatened by radical elements after she had a controversial kissing scene in filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt’s Nazar, five years ago.More recently, Veena Malik, who was part of popular Indian reality TV show Bigg Boss, had her share of troubles on her return to Pakistan with several clerics accusing her of having no character and of bringing a bad name to the country. -wateen.net

Ali Zafar is now in Hollywood

After achieving success in Bollywood, singer-turned-actor Ali Zafar might end-up starring in a Hollywood movie. The actor, whilst speaking to the media in Lahore, said that apart from signing on for two more Indian movies, he has got an offer for a Hollywood movie as well.

Now this surely is one hell of news for all of the Ali Zafar fans out there. And it’d be interesting to see him in a new avatar (of Hollywood especially) if he considers signing-up for that movie.

Ali Zafar is currently busy in promoting his up-coming movie “Mere Brother Ki Dulhan” which also stars Imran Khan and vivacious Katrina Kaif. The movie is being produced by Aditya Chopra, and will be distributed by Yash Raj Films Studio on 9th September this year.

Aamir to help Imran, Ali Zafar patch up

Actor Aamir Khan was touted to play mediator between Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan when he invited them both to the grand wedding reception he hosted for nephew Imran Khan and Avantika Malik. Sadly that was not to happen as the two actors came and left at different times. However, Aamir may well be executing the role of mediator in the case of Imran Khan and Ali Zafar.

It so happens that these two actors, who are shooting together for the film 'Mere Brother Ki Dulhan' along with Katrina Kaif, don't get along.

According to sources, they aren't on talking terms. A unit member informs that Imran and Ali were friends in the beginning but something unruly happened and they have distanced themselves from each other.

According to reports, Imran felt that Ali was gradually developing an attitude. It also reached Imran's ears that Ali was claiming to be the lead actor in the movie. However, Ali insists that none of the above is true, and evidence lies in the fact that he was also invited to Imran and Avantika's grand reception. He said that all was indeed well between him and Imran.

But then Ali didn't turn up at the reception. With Ali being a distant relative of Aamir Khan's, one wonders if Aamir can play mediator between the two actors and iron out whatever differences they may have.

Katrina Unbuttons her Shirt in the Movie Boom

The hot scene that has Katrina Kaif unbuttoning her shirt in front of Gulshan Grover will come out in the DVD of her debut film Boom. Though Katrina isn’t giving much importance to the scene, Gulshan Grover says it’s a beautiful sequence. Rather than being embarrassed by the scene which was axed from the censored version of Boom when it released and subsequently flopped, Grover says he’s fine with the scene being a part of the DVD.

In fact, Grover went on to add that it’s a “beautiful scene” that was shot on the backdrop of the aquarium Burj Al Arab hotel in Dubai.

Grover, who is now gearing up to act with none other than Salma Hayek in a Hollywood film, said he considers Boom as one of the best films of his career.

Katrina Kaif is unaware of it. The new DVD of her first film Boom will be released with her kiss with co-actor Gulshan Grover. Is this a matter to worry for Kat? Earlier, the actress did manage to get the hot liplock between her and Gulshan deleted from the first DVD, and it apparently happened because of her then boyfriend Salman Khan, who used his heft to snip the kissing scene.

Now the makers are planning to release the new DVD with the smooch scene. Gulshan Grover is quoted as saying by a daily, “It is true. The new lot will have the controversial scene, which was omitted earlier.”

Katrina is undoubtedly one of the top actresses in the industry, and by releasing a fresh DVD, it’s pretty obvious that the makers of Boom want to cash in on her success, reveal sources. Kat always regrets going bold for the scenes during her initial years in Bollywood.

Boom bombed miserably at the box office. Katrina also had exposing scenes in the film.
